Sound Gallery on TV!!!

"Boogie Juice" is showing up everywhere these days. It was prominently featured as the musical intro to a Saturday Night Live cable program parody entitled "Former Porn Stars" and is also being used by Nick At Night for an ad. "Music To Drive By" is rumored to appear in a Diet Snapple commercial.

The Sound Gallery Volume Two
Details - January 1997

What's going on?
Utterly Brit cocktail music from the late '60s and early '70s - the sound of beige shag carpet. Strings, flutes, harps, stereo gimmicks, and swingers with names like Lord Sitar and the Simon Park Orchestra.
Is it any good?
Excellent - you'll be washing your hands for days to remove the taint of the world's smarmiest version of "Light My Fire." Rating 8

Les Baxter's "Que Mango" is featured and sampled in the Jackie Chan issue of Blender CD-ROM magazine (look in the cocktail party) - and because they love it, it'll be sampled again for their next issue.

The Robert Mitchum "Calypso Is Like So..." was spotlighted in November 1996 on NPR's "Weekend Edition."

Ren & Stimpy creator John Kricfalusi recently bought the Wanderley and Baxter and dropped Ash a note to tell the Scamp crew how much he loved them.

World famous fashion-type-guy Issac Mizrahi used the 101 Strings "Astro Sounds..." as music for his his fabulous runway show!
